This is a wonderful book! (Jake and the Pandemic)   I don't have grandchildren but gifted it to young families with children.  I was told that the kids *love* knowing that Jake is real!  The drawings are sweet and innocent and they pair perfectly with the emotions and thoughts expressed by Jake.  There's just enough narrative that allows young children to ask their *own* questions and get answers back from parents who can (happily) point to Jake's daily activities - Janis C.

Jake & the Pandemic is a great book for elementary age kids and the young at heart. It is soothing, engaging, funny,and educational all at once. It takes you to Jake’s world which mirrors our own & allows kids to share in his pandemic experience. Years from now this little tale will stand as a visual reminder of what we experienced in 2020 & 2021.

I teach first grade and read this book to my students via Zoom during the COVID-19 pandemic. My students loved this book and were very engaged. They enjoyed locating Stuart on every page and they found Jake's experience quite relatable to their own. This book brought about some laughter and smiles during a very difficult time in my students' lives.
